Privacy policy

How Barbra d'Engle collects, uses and protects your personal information, under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, for visitors in the EU/UK, the GDPR.

Who is responsible

Barbra d'Engle is the responsible party for your information. Contact us any time using the details at the bottom of this page.

What we collect

Why we use it

We never sell your information. We don’t use what you share in a reading for marketing.

Who sees it

Only Barbra. Your information is stored on our own secured server and email system. PayPal processes payments under its own privacy policy. Advertising platforms receive only anonymous event data when pixels are enabled. Some of these providers are outside South Africa; we only use providers with adequate protection.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for 5 years for tax and accounting. Questionnaire answers and payment screenshots are deleted 12 months after your last reading, or sooner if you ask.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, withdraw your consent, or object to marketing at any time — just email or WhatsApp us. You can also complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za) or, in the EU/UK, your local data protection authority.

Security

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS); admin access is password-protected; payment screenshots are stored privately and are never public. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
